Dr. Janet Lind,
Vice President of Product Development
As InnerWireless’ vice president of product development, Dr. Janet Lind is responsible for the design, development and delivery of compelling products and solutions that address the needs of mobile enterprises. With more than 30 years of wireless, technology and education industry experience, Dr. Lind leads InnerWireless’ product development teams and focuses on managing modular designs for integrated wireless devices that will address different communications infrastructures worldwide.
Dr. Lind was instrumental as a consultant during the development of Spot, InnerWireless’ radio frequency location application. Spot was developed to help hospitals accurately and quickly track medical devices and other healthcare assets to help increase patient safety and overall efficiency.
Prior to joining InnerWireless, Dr. Lind held various C-level and executive roles with Cyneta Networks, Nortel Networks and Siemens, working to create and deliver mobile wireless products for voice and data services, including location application development and other software for wireless systems. As vice president of engineering and chief technology officer at Cyneta Networks, Dr. Lind assembled and managed internal teams and was responsible for hardware integration and software development initiatives both locally and overseas.
Most recently, Dr. Lind served as the assistant dean for the University of Texas at Dallas’ Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science.
Dr. Lind holds a doctorate in computer science from Tulane University, a Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Louisiana State University.
